As an option,
NEPSI's Metal-Enclosed Capacitor Banks and Harmonic
Filter Banks can be equipped with roof bushings.
These bushings facilitate direct connection to
overhead bus bars within substations. Installation
cost are significantly reduced as medium voltage
cable and duct/conduit are not required.
The voltage ratings
of the bushings are chosen based upon the system
voltage. Current ratings are based upon the banks
nominal current, accounting for expansion, harmonics,
capacitor tolerances, and over-voltages..
